I am interested in science - in the media, in society, in the lab. I prefer to understand and if capable criticise, than to sensationalise.
This website will be home to stories, interviews, opinion pieces and of course a fair share of rambling nonsense thrown in for good measure.
I believe that people are crying out for a fresh perspective on science. A non-institutional perspective. One that is frank, honest, and not afraid to be uncertain (at least I think so). One that takes into account the humanity behind science, from which it grows, that supports it and that bears its brunt. Like Big Kev, I'm excited!
Still in its infancy, the blog is stacked with science stories I've been writing for the last year or so for Cosmos magazine. Within the blog lie (occasionally cryptic) links to each and every article I've written. I've also written a handful of longer feature stories, which you can find here in full.
